January

Roy's Western Smorgy, Jan. 23rd, 5:30pm.  Seaman John Nelson will share his adventures aboard the brigantine Yankee (part I).

February

Potluck and model train demonstration, Feb. 27th at the Westside Church of Christ in Pasco.  Terry Shegrud will demonstrate his hobby.

March

Freeze Your Fanny Tour, March 8th & 9th in Dayton, WA.  The host hotel is The Weinhard Hotel on 235 E. Main St., ph. (509) 382-4032.  Room costs range from $75 to $150.  The overflow hotel is The Blue Mountain Motel on 414 W. Main, ph. (509) 382-3040.  Room costs range from $43 to $48.  Tour cost is $70 for car and driver, plus $50 per adult passenger and $40 per child under 12.  Reservations must be in by Feb. 5th to Bill Sheller, P.O. Box 847, Umatilla, OR 97882-0847, ph. (541) 922-4747.

April

Apple Blossom Tour, April 25th through the 27th.  Starting point is the Richland Fred Meyer parking lot at 10am Friday.  First destination is Leavenworth, with various stops along the way: Lunch is at King Ludwig's Hungarian and Bavarian Restaurant, Smallwood's Harvest Country Mercantile in Peshastin, Chelan County Historical Society Pioneer Village and Museum in Cashmere, Apple Annie's Antique Mall, Aplets, Cotlets and Grapelets Factory tour, then on to Cle Elm via Bluett Pass.

Annual Swap Meet on May 3rd.

Cool Desert Nights, Richland, June 19-20

July

Pasco Independence Day Parade, July 4, judging at 9:00am, starts at 10:30am.  4th Ave., near the courthouse.

 

Garage Tour at Vern and Martha's on July 4th.  Lunch served.  A large group from Walla Walla is joining in, so there should be lots of cars to see!  Info 582-7530

August

Benton Franklin County Fair parade, August 16th, 9am, Kennewick, on 1st/4th Ave. in the school parking lot next to Food Pavilion.  Lunch at Yale's afterwards.

Harold E. LeMay's 26th Annual Car Show & Open House.  Marymount, Tacoma. Aug. 30th.

September

States Day Parade in Prosser. Sept. 1st.  Meet at the gas station at the Benton City exit on I-82 at 7:30am.  The parade starts at 10am.

Anniversary party for Vern and Martha Shreve at their home on Sept. 6th, 2pm.

A road trip is planned to a Republic, WA old car museum, Sept. 26-28.  Contact Bob Rupp for information.

October

Bring your cars and visit with the residents of Manor on Canyon Lake October 11th, 2pm.  Some would like to enjoy rides.  There will be snacks and root beer floats.

October 11th is Tampico Pioneer day.  Come enjoy the parade and silent auction and all that's on display.  Call Dale Henson at 965-2509 for information.

The much awaited second half of John Nelson's lecture and film of his sailing trip on the Brigantine Yankee will be presented at 5:30pm October 29th at Roys Smorgy.

November

The West Richland Vets Day Parade begins at 9:30am on November 8th.

December

The annual Christmas party is planned for December 6th at the Kennewick Elks club.  Dinner choice is baked salmon or prime rib -- either for only $10 a person.  Bob McClary has tickets, which must be prepurchased.  Officer election will be discussed at this meeting.
